I bought this book because id heard good things about it. When i flipped through it though, i was dissapointed. There were recipes that id already got a lot of in other books that i own.If you're looking for a book similar to this format but don't like the look of recipes. There are some GREATones in Jo pratt In the mood for Entertaining.This is my favorite cookbook in my collection of hundreds. Every recipe turns out great and is tried and true. I can always count on a recipe in this cookbook for entertaining family and friends and living up to my reputation as a great cook! :) I bought a copy for a young girl for her wedding present as well.Summer time fun will be great with this book that will allow me to come with something more than the norm!I saw this book in Anthropologie and saw one recipe that I wanted to make and it's a pretty illustration. However I don't know if there's alot in there that I will actually cook, but it was half price on Amazon c/t Anthropologie.While I thought I would love this, I have yet to make a single dish from it. It is way to fancy for our taste and just not practical.This has been my absolute favorite cookbook for years. The photos are gorgeous and the recipes are simple and delicious!I viewed this book in a very nice store in San Francisco. My frist thought was, my daughters would like this book, so I gave to them for Mother's Day.The book came pretty quickly, I got it a lot sooner than the estimated delivery date. And the book was in the condition it was stated to be in.A friend recommended this book.分かりやすい英語で書かれていて、すんなり入って行けます。写真が綺麗でお料理はもちろんテーブルコーディネートもなかなか参考になります。メニュー毎におもてなしの前日、当日、直前に準備しておくことがリストアップされており、パーティーの準備の要領を学べるのが素晴らしいです。普段の食事の準備にも応用できますね評価は低いけれど決して悪い本ではないです！！よくも悪くも表紙のイメージ通りの本でした。テーブルコーディネートが横からとられていて、机の上には美味しそうな料理やお花、綺麗な色のナプキンが並べられています。日差しが差し込む素敵なお庭でランチ♪みたいな雰囲気です。どれも女性なら憧れる世界で、本を読んでいると軽く現実逃避出来ます。しかし、表紙のように写真のアングルがかなり横からというものが多いです。お料理やコーディネートがしっかり見えない。テーブルコーディネートの紹介のあと料理のレシピも紹介してくれているのですが、その写真もかなりアップだったり、アングルが横からだったりでいまいちどんな料理かが分かりにくいんです。料理のレシピを見る本ではなく、料理を食べる雰囲気を楽しむ本といった感じでした。この本のスタイルとして確立されていて、素敵な本ですが私は料理がよく分かる、ひいたアングルの写真が好みなので私には合いませんでした。写真は素敵ですが、レシピは見にくいし、アイデアもありきたり。いかにも！という設定が満載なので、眺めているには、楽しいですが、これを見て、同じものを作ろう！！っという気には、正直ならない。しいて言えば、前日までの準備、当日すること、この手順を示してあるところが良かったかな。表紙の写真にひとめぼれ！で、購入しました。どのページも素敵な雰囲気で、色遣いが最高です。買って大正解でした。料理１つずつの写真だけでなく、テーブル全部コーディネイトされているのでとても参考になります。お料理も手軽に挑戦できるものが多く、見栄えもgood!!です。洋書で、このお値段。私は、大満足でした。
