Most Friends sets are 6+. So this is a good Friends set for the younger builder and is probably just slightly more challenging than a Lego Juniors set. We definitely found it easier than 6+ Friends sets. My 5-year-old daughter was able to handle this with minimal guidance from me.File under "successful ways of interesting your daughter in STEM careers." She has played with this over and over. She particular enjoys the moving part x-ray machine as well as the examination table and instrument cart. I watch her pretend to be a doctor, making thoughtful noises as she examines "the pictures from the x-ray machine that tell us what's wrong with the doggy", and playing with the girl doctor figure wielding her stethoscope and otoscope - and I could not be happier. Solid entertaining detail, appropriate challenge level, and an excellent fun way to get girls interested in STEM is what this set is all about and I highly recommend it.I have 10 year old twins who love Legos and love the "theme" sets. I'll admit that I am not a fan of "girly" toys that used to just be unisex toys, but my daughter is girly and so I gave in on this mostly because it's a vet set and she wants to be a vet (today). I bought my son a similarly priced Lego Minecraft set that had a similar number of pieces - and here's where I get a bit annoyed. Even though they had the same number of pieces, the "girl's" set had far fewer actual BUILDING pieces to it, and was super easy to put together when compared to her brother's set, which was almost all blocks and little "filler." She had hers done in minutes. So, less building, less difficulty, and more "accessories" for girls. Sigh.My daughter enjoyed this set for her birthday.We bought this LEGO set for my daughter's 6th birthday. She loves animals and has another LEGO set from this series, which she loves to play with, so she was really excited when she opened it. The directions were easy enough to follow that she could put most of it together herself, except for a few pieces I helped her with towards the end. She really enjoyed building it and felt very proud of herself for doing so. Her grandma also bought her a set for her B-Day and she loves to play and make believe with all of them together. As with all LEGO sets there are lots small pieces, which is something to consider if you have very young children with access to the area where it is being put together or played with. Great product! It’s legos so always fun for the kids to put togetherThis is another excellent set for kids by Lego. My daughter really loves this set. It is challenging enough for a seven year old and it took about an hour for her to assemble this with occasional adult supervision. The set is really cute and the fit is as usual with Lego, excellent. There are 192 pieces but they are tiny. Once completed, it can spark a child's imagination and become a toy to keep.This was a big hit with my granddaughter - and me. This is one of very few themed Lego sets "for girls" that doesn't cater to the model/princess/etc. aspect of being a little girl. (The camper is also a a good choice.)
